Sofi’s Story Sofi came in from the bush and decided this was home. We didn’t bring her here - she arrived on her own terms and stayed. She still has that bush energy about her: alert, independent, and sure of herself.
During the day, she’s relaxed, gentle and very affectionate. She’s a proper smoocher - happy to curl up beside you, stretch out in a sunny spot, and press her head in for pats. If you sit down, she’ll often find a way to tuck herself in next to you. She’ll also lick your hair, like she’s grooming her people. It’s her way of saying you’re part of her crew.
Often as night falls, she switches into another gear. Sofi does high-speed laps through the house and down the hallway for reasons known only to her.
Sofi fits in here not by changing, but by being completely herself. She reminds us that belonging at the sanctuary doesn’t mean losing your nature. Her gentle side and her wild side both have a place here.
