Rewilding

Nestled on 60 acres of pristine Wadawurrung country, our sanctuary borders the stunning Brisbane Ranges National Park, which is renowned for protecting Victoria's most diverse wildflower habitat, as well as the State's highest concentration of indigenous koalas.

In our commitment to environmental stewardship we have planted over 5,000 trees through an extensive wilderness rehabilitation initiative aimed at restoring vital habitats for native flora and fauna.

This project plays a crucial role in enhancing biodiversity, supporting local wildlife, enriching the landscape and honouring country.

In partnership with Melbourne Water and the non-profit Koala Clancy Foundation, we have also created a dedicated koala corridor; an important forested pathway that allows these iconic creatures and other wildlife to safely traverse our property from the park to the river. Our rewilding efforts are ongoing, with significant planting and land management planned for 2025.

Our initiatives are fostering a thriving ecosystem, improving tree diversity, supporting pollinators and insects, enhancing waterways, contributing to carbon sequestration and returning land to the way it has been for thousands of generations. Together, these efforts represent our deep commitment to preserving and regenerating the natural world for centuries to come.
