Benson’s Story
Benson has been here a long time. He arrived gentle, settled, and sure of himself in the best way. He moves quietly around the sanctuary, checking on everyone without making a fuss. If another animal is nervous, he’s the first to sit nearby - no big gestures, just calm presence. He is a true guardian.
He’s deeply bonded to Glenn and follows a few steps behind, keeping an eye on things. In all his years here, he’s never shown aggression. Even when tested, he simply turns away and stays steady.
He has a cheeky side too, especially when no one’s looking. It’s part of his charm - gentle, selfless, and still very much his own character.
Benson sets the tone for this place. When in doubt, we ask, “What would Benson do?” He is our guide. The answer is usually simple: stay calm, be kind, keep it uncomplicated, and love without conditions.
Goodness doesn’t need to be loud. Benson shows us that every day.
